The transparent calculation of the price of a car is used to determine all fees that are created through import of a car from the USA or Canada. It may seem simple to take the price of the vehicle overseas, multiply it by the exchange rate and imagine that we could have the car for this price in the European Union. We also wish it were like this, but we must appreciate the fact that the car is located, for example in Las Vegas... and now it begins: If there is a request for this car, our agent must contact the owner of the vehicle in Las Vegas, arrange for purchase and deregistration of this vehicle from the registry, arrange for transport of the vehicle from the seller on a tow truck or collection lorry to the port, arrange for loading of the vehicle into a container at the port, arrange for transportation of the container on a ship to a European port, unloading from the container, loading onto a lorry that will transport the vehicle from the port to the Czech Republic. The necessary modifications are made in the workshop to comply with EU norms: the vehicle must have orange indicators at the rear and a fog lamp and the sidelights at the front must be changed from orange to white. Seeing as the vehicle still does not have a number plate, it must visit the customs office on a tow truck, and the test institute where tests are carried out on emissions, noise levels, electromagnetic compatibility, the brakes and in the case of N1 vehicles, measuring of pressure on individual axles. After this the car must visit the MOT centre � the technical control station. Up until this time, financial costs are generated, which must be covered in the price of the vehicle.
