DVD SYSTEMS INCLUDING LCD PANELS IN VEHICLES FROM ABROAD

Anyone who has tried a home cinema in a car would not be able to imagine their next vehicle without a screen with a DVD player or TV tuner. First of all you will spurn this car cinema saying that if you have no time to watch films in your free time, then certainly not in your car. But here, you must rather think of your family and yourself if you are driven in the car. For your family, in that the vehicle will be equipped with an LCD screen and DVD player or TV tuner, keeping them happy and especially making long and monotonous journeys more pleasant, when your wife no longer knows how she can sit and the children keep asking for one stop after another because the long journey is tiring them out and, simply put, is boring for them.
However, as soon as you put a fairytale or kids' movie, of which there are so many nowadays, into the DVD player (for example Shrek, Jumbo, Ice Age, Finding Nemo, Snow White) you will see that even a long journey to Croatia, Italy or Spain can be accomplished without hysteria, stress and tears.
DVD systems in vehicles from abroad are protected by a Region key, similarly to the regular DVD players there, so DVDs purchased in the EU, which are fitted with Region key no. 2 will not play on in-car DVD players in vehicles from abroad.

There are two solutions here:

1. Burn a backup copy from the original DVD and when doing so, set: "Region FREE", which means that this burned DVD will work in all DVD players from abroad, both in-car players and regular ones. A condition is that the disc must be burned with the original menu structure as the car DVD requires the presence of the original menu; a definite benefit is that you will not damage the original DVD; a disadvantage is that not all European DVDs (even after being burned) will work in the vehicle; you can find more information about regions here.
2. The best solution, which we recommend, is that you have the DVD with LCD installed in the vehicle additionally using a DVD system that is already "Region FREE" from the manufacturer. This means that it is able to read all original DVD media, both American and European, and also that you have the possibility to choose between a ceiling-mounted LCD including the screen size and two LCD screens mounted in the headrests; we exclusively install equipment from Myron & Davis, a company that manufactures its equipment "Region FREE," NTSC/PAL compatible and communicates with car manufacturers, so some products are identical to those mounted by the manufacturer. And even control of the air-conditioning for the second row of seats is no problem for us, which in some types of vehicles is found in the ceiling and with which some car electricians who install other systems and do not know about Myron & Davis cut the process short by simply cutting through this control element.

d/ Two LCDs installed in the front headrests

- an elegant solution which surprises many people in that you do not buy an LCD monitor, which you would have to install somehow into the existing headrest, but instead you buy a whole new headrest for the car in question with the specific leather code including cabling for the DVD so everything looks like the original LCD headrest.

We do not resolve connection of the LCD/DVD system with the existing audio equipment by pulling out the original cabling and drastic connection and testing on the existing outputs for the original radio system.
