ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS

Question 1: Why should I consider purchasing cars from the USA or Canada at all?
Answer 1: If you are not particularly looking for an American vehicle or car that is only sold in the USA and is not officially offered in the Czech Republic, there are other cars which, although they are already represented here in the Czech Republic, it is advantageous to import from abroad as the pricing policy of individual car manufacturers is created purposefully in a territorial manner with a view to the number of vehicles sold in a certain region and for this reason we are able to import brands that are already represented on our market, such as Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Volvo, Subaru, Honda, Lexus and Nissan at advantageous prices.
Question 2: Is it true that a vehicle that has a factory guarantee in the USA (Canada - Mexico) forfeits this guarantee on import to the EU?
Answer 2: Yes and no. Some car manufacturers are already trying to project themselves as global manufacturers and in that case it is possible to retain this guarantee within the territory of the whole EU. For other manufacturers, the territorial policy still applies and in that case a range of additional guarantees come into play, which we provide from our resources. So it cannot happen that a customer buys a car from us with no guarantee, a fact that also stems from the Civil or Commercial Code.
Question 3: : I have noticed that the price of exactly the same car differs from seller to seller. Why?
Answer 3: In the case of used cars this cannot be precisely compared as a cheaper car may have been repaired after a crash or have a tachometer that has been tampered with, and there are even worse reasons. In the case of new cars the quality of lorry transportation is calculated in the price (old - new lorry) as well as the quality of sea transportation (container - freely loaded), sales area and other costs, which differ with each importer or seller; it depends on each buyer whether they choose the cheapest price and the corresponding level of comfort in the sales area, personnel, tradition and public education.
Question 4: I am interested in a new Corvette, which costs around USD 45,000.00 in the USA, which is 45,000 x the exchange rate = CZK 1,080,000.00 and the car is mine, isn't it?
Answer 4: Yes, the car is yours; that is of course if you are an American and have did not count the American VAT in the price, which is paid on sale and is never seen in advertisements - a completely different practice to that seen in Europe. We really are asked this question very often and there is a simple answer to it. The sale price, which is stated as the BASE price is usually for completely standard equipment, which the customer often does not want, and for this reason equipment packages are added to the price and only then can we speak of the purchase price, which corresponds with the customer's idea. This price is known as the MSRP. This is the price not including VAT, so the vehicle will be exported at this price. Sometimes on the Internet, we also come across the INVOICE price, which is not however intended for customers, but for vehicle dealers, for whom this is the cost price. It is known that sellers of vehicles in the USA can provide discounts from the MSRP, but this mostly concerns "idle stock" vehicles, which the seller has in stock in great numbers and is glad to rid themselves of these even under the MSRP. On the other hand, in the case of vehicles for which there is some interest and which happen to be IN, the seller may exaggerate the sale price, so it regularly occurs that if a new model comes out, it is sold for several thousands of USD above the MSRP. This concerned the period when the new Corvette C6, the new Mustang GTs and the Hummer H3 etc. came onto the market. There are brands of cars, which were manufactured in limited numbers and these are then sold at 100% above the MSRP, like for example the new FORD GT or Ferrari Enzo. And what about costs for transportation to the Czech Republic? These can be simply calculated here on our page for CALCULATION
